You may look like you have it all together on the outside, but inside you’re tired. You’ve spent years taking care of everyone else, trying to be “the strong one,” and wondering when it’ll finally feel okay to need something too. You might notice yourself overthinking, people-pleasing, or walking on eggshells; even in relationships that are supposed to feel safe.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many of us learn early on that love and safety come with conditions: that we need to shrink, manage others’ feelings, or stay quiet to keep the peace. Over time, it starts to feel like you’ve lost touch with your real self.

Therapy can help you:

  • Understand where these patterns began and why they’ve been so hard to change
  • Feel safer setting boundaries and asking for what you need
  • Build a sense of calm and self-trust, even in stressful relationships
  • Reconnect with parts of you that have gone quiet

I’m Nilam! I support individuals healing from the impact of relational trauma and emotionally complex families. I help people untangle old patterns so they can feel at ease in themselves and their relationships.

Many of my clients describe feeling anxious, guilty, or invisible; like they’re always there for others but rarely get that same care back. Some are new parents trying to make sense of old family patterns as they build their own. Others are professionals or students who can handle anything at work, but feel small or unsure in close relationships.
